General

  • We are located at 4852 Ashley River Road, Summerville SC 29485.

  • Tours are by appointment only. You can schedule a venue tour on our contact page. Please add date, time, and provide some details about your event.

Booking

  • Please see the available dates information here.

  • You can secure your date by paying the 50% rental deposit and signing the contract.

  • A 50% deposit is due when you sign our contract. This deposit is forfeited if there is a cancellation.

    The final payment is due 90 days prior to the event.

    An $1000 refundable security deposit will also be collected and cashed 30 days prior to the event. It will be returned if is no damages to property.

  • Yes! You can pay the remainder in instalments or all at once. The balance must be paid 90 days before your event date. Payments can be made on wire transfer, in cash, or by check.

  • All checks can be made out to Lovegrove Estate LLC and mailed to 4852 Ashley River Road, Summerville SC 29485.

  • A $1000 damage security deposit is required with the signed contract. This is to cover potential damage of inventory items by your party. The deposit will be refunded within 14-days of your event if the property is vacated without any damages.

Venue & Spaces

  • Absolutely! We offer a range of indoor and outdoor spaces to suit different preferences and accommodate various event sizes. Whether you're planning an intimate celebration or a grand affair, we have the perfect setting for you.

  • 150 seated guests including bridal party, 200 cocktail style.

  • 200 seated guests including bridal party is recommended in an area 40 by 80 if guest count is larger we recommend a bigger tent.

  • There is a designated parking area as well as a passenger drop off and handicap parking. There is vendor parking in the back of the venue. Max capacity is 100 cars. We can accommodate more cars but rental of golf cart will be needed to shuttle guest if more than 100 cars.

Other Questions

  • We require ‘Day-Of Event Insurance’ with Lovegrove Estate LLC named as Additional Insured. We will be happy to provide you with a direct link to get the insurance.

  • Yes. Initially we allowed outside catering, and it seem like a great benefit for Lovegrove Estate couples. The truth is after a year allowing any caterer walk through our door we realized that is not a workable business model if quality food and quality experience is important to our couples and guests.

  • We require the use of a licensed and insured “day-of coordinator”. If you do not have one, we will be happy to recommend some planners in the area for your convenience. They are responsible for completing the coordinator checklist. Failure to do so may result in a forfeiture of the security deposit.

  • Smoking inside apartment, tent and indoor hall is strictly prohibited. Please use designated smoking areas. For cigar bars, ash trays must be provided by the event planner or sourced from an outside vendor. Excessive litter may result in loss of security deposit.

  • At Lovegrove Estate we only host one wedding each day to ensure that each couple’s event is special and receives the privacy needed.

  • Nexton Square, a mere 15 minutes away, provides numerous hotel options, allowing our couples to arrange convenient room blocks. Guests will find themselves within walking distance of various restaurants and shopping opportunities.

    For those seeking a more upscale experience, Middleton Place Inn is just a 5-minute drive away.

    If you prefer the vibrant atmosphere of Downtown Charleston, it's only 20 minutes away, offering a plethora of hotel choices.

    No matter your preference, you'll have an abundance of options to choose from to match your vibe.

Customization

  • Because we only host one event per day, our fee structure remains the same whether you hold your ceremony, reception, or both on site.

  • We are dog friendly, with some specific stipulations. Dogs are allowed only at the ceremony and pictures. Someone must be responsible for them other than the bride and groom and they are not allowed anywhere inside.

  • Bands, DJs + other types of musical entertainment are allowed. You will be required to provide vendor information prior to your event.

  • The rental lasts for 12 hours – 10 am until 10pm.

  • Yes, a rehearsal will be held during the week or at 1:00pm during weekend, rehearsal will not be longer than 30 min.

Catering

  • Please visit our vendor page here to see catering options, we have selected professionals with awesome budget friendly and amazing upscale options.

  • We encourage you to choose professional vendors, every vendor is responsible for their trash, we do not have a dumpster on site so trash will need to be removed from property. Failure to complete checklist may result in forfeiture of the security deposit. We are not responsible for any items left behind or lost on our premises.

Planning Questions

  • The venue can be decorated with flowers, candles, and lighting! It is your special day, and we want it to be your own. However, we do not allow anything to be applied to the walls of tent that will cause damage (nails, tacks, staples, tape, etc.). Absolutely no glitter, confetti, birdseed or wish lanterns may be used on the grounds. Candles may be used but must be inside a votive. No taper candles or candelabras are allowed. If you are unsure if your decorations adhere to these guidelines, feel free to email or call. Failure to comply with these guidelines will put your security deposit at risk.

  • We suggest starting at 4pm on winter/fall time and at 5pm on summertime. If you have a different envision for your event, please contact us to discuss schedule.

  • If you elect the one-day rental, our venue will likely be reserved by another couple the night before. For that reason, one day rentals should plan for an offsite rehearsal.

  • No vehicles cannot be left overnight. Please advice your guest of the policy. Gates will be locked at midnight, and they will remain locked.

  • Music needs to end by 10 pm to ensure that you, all your items and all your vendors are off property by midnight.

  • Gates are always looked so all deliveries and pick ups should be during standard rental period. Please advice vendors of your policy.

  • Yes, candles are allowed as long as the flame is completely contained in a candle holder. Tapered candles and any type of hanging candles will not be allowed for safety reasons.

  • Final headcount is required a month before, with all your vendor information and timeline as well as security deposit.

Set up and Day of Event

  • This is allowed just on bridal suite before event starts.

  • Your coordinator is responsible for the set-up and break down process, make sure to discuss this with them.
